Why This Portfolio Looks Like a Magazine (And Why Yours Should Too)

Somewhere along the way, the web decided that every serious product must look like the same SaaS dashboard: white background, rounded corners, a purple gradient button. Boring is safe, the thinking goes. Boring converts.

I do not believe it. People remember the sites that made them smile — and they trust the people who made them. This portfolio is my argument: white paper, ink lines, comic panels, and a speech bubble that says hello. It is a magazine that happens to run on Laravel.

Minimalism and personality are not opposites. The design here is strict: black ink on white paper, one red accent, one yellow highlight. The comic elements are few — a burst, a speech bubble, panel frames — and everything else is whitespace and line.

My rule: make it legible first, make it memorable second, and never let the gimmicks get in the way of the content. Delight is a layer, not the foundation.
